Xmas party

I was a Xmas fairy and really enjoyed our party and all the yummy food.

The Christmas Production

Today I had my last drama production for the year, it was an awesome story about Santa, his wife, elves and even an evil elf!! I played Mother Christmas. I really enjoyed singing the songs and wearing a lovely blue hat as part of my costume. 

Adventures in Hamilton

Yesterday I went to Hamilton and had so much fun,I saw new Zealsnds biggest Christmas tree in Garden place. We then went over to SkyCity and had a look around. I had a yummy chicken club sandwidge for lunch and a coffee.

Pottery

In our garden art session we have been making little pots for herbs.I have found I am rather good at this and love to make the coils ready for building into our pots...it's a good team effort ! 

Xmas decorations

I was helping Nicky to make Xmas decorations for all the Xmas trees🎄🎄🎄🎄

Visiting the donkeys

I enjoyed feeding the carrots to the donkeys, the donkeys got really excited a and made lots of noise. 

Karaoke time

I love karaoke time I get to sing some songs that I really like

High tea

Last week for girls group we went to a high tea at the Hotel Trinity Whaf. I had a yummy coffe and club sandwiches and fancy cakes.

Kuirau park Rotorua

Had a lovely trip to Rotorua, we went to the bubbling mud pools and the sensory garden then we went and had lunch at the waterfront, such a nice day.

My scrapbook

I have been making a scrapbook Of my favourite pictures and I drew pictures of the fruit I like the best.

Face masks

Yesterday in girls group we tryed out some Avo face masks. It made my face nice and soft.

Hamilton

Yesterday I went on a road trip to Hamilton to visit the excite Museum. My faviourt thing was playing the big floor paino.

Drama performing Cinderella

I played the part of the stepmother in our production of Cinderella, I really enjoy drama I get to sing and dance.

Fashion parade

In up-cycled clothing I did a mini fashion parade for the girls when trying on new clothes to restore and refresh. I really liked this skirt!

I had fun colouring in my mask for the sensory room, it's glows in the dark

I love music and really enjoyed playing the drums

Computer time

I like to try using computers, I am able to see lots of places I would like to go to.

My cushion

I am really excited, I have finished sewing my lovely cushion to use around the centre. I cut out letter era from my name and  chose all of the fabric I wanted. I really enjoyed helping to put it all together on the sewing machine.

I have had fun taking apart a phone to make some garden art. You can use anything you like and it always looks really cool.

Here at Arohanui we are knitting up a storm to make a blanket for the sensory room.

I had a really fun time at the caterpillars show yesterday.   It was really cool Getting to see the life cycle of a caterpillar

I love looking at Snow White in computers and exploring new things on the iPad.

Up-cycled sculptures

I have been working very hard the last couple of weeks in Garden Art. We are making alternative garden art/ pot plants with using recyclable materials made of metal and other cool things sourced by. Dismantling used appliances and machinery. I have been very creative! 

Sewing

I am making myself a lovely soft cushion.I am decorating it with my name in pretty letters.

Trip to M.O.T.A.T

Yesterday I went on an exciting trip up to Auckland to see the Museum of a Transport and Technology. We had a fun drive up listening to Country music. At the museum we had a great walk around looking at all of the displays, I loved the old pioneer church and school house, the model house from the Victorian era was really special too. I loved the technology display and built a cool structure out of blocks!! We took a tram ride down to the Aeroplane museum where I saw Lots of amazing aircraft and my favourite was an old crop dresser. I had lunch in Western Springs Park where I generously feed the wildlife my crusts. On the way home I had a yummy Caramel Sunday. I had such a wicked day!

Coffee date

I went to town with the girls and we went to the cafe and got a coffee. I had heaps of fun and the coffee was so yum! 

Dancing in the sensory room

For activities we had a mini disco in the sensory room. We had music going and flashing disco lights. I had so much fun getting my boogie on!

Hot cross buns

Yesterday in cooking I helped make chocolate chip hot cross buns. They were delious.

Day at the beach

Exploring the rock pools

Yesterday a group of us went over to the mount to hang out on the beach and explore the rock pools. I had heaps of fun looking for crabs. We found lots of baby mussels on the rocks. Afterwards we had a picnic lunch under some big trees. It was so much fun! 

Pottery

I helped Nicky go to Bethleham Pottery and pick up our pieces of pottery that had been fired in the kiln. It was lots of fun.

A piece of art

I was very pleased with myself after making myself a sculpture for my room out of Pummace. I chose the pummace rocks and painted hem myself. Then when it was dried I glued on some really cool owls and hearts. I was so happy when it finished. 

Mosaics

I am enjoying mosaics at Arohanui this morning.

Girls group!

In girls group I love getting pampered and getting a hand massage and nail polish. Such a good feeling and my nails look so pretty!
